Associate Professor Ilan Rauchberger is a Consultant Psychiatrist with extensive expertise in general adult psychiatry. He has a special interest in psychosis disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders and adjustment disorders. Associate Professor Rauchberger is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Swinburne University and an Adjunct Senior Lecturer (Practice) at Monash University.
Completing his undergraduate medical studies at Monash University, Associate Professor Rauchberger went on to complete a Masters of Psychiatry at The University of Melbourne. In 2009 Associate Professor Rauchberger became a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry.
Throughout his career Associate Professor Rauchberger has worked within private and public mental health. He has been the Head of Acute Psychiatry at the Alfred Hospital and Director of the Alfred Psychiatric Intensive Care Statewide Services. Associate Professor Rauchberger also has private consulting rooms at Albert Road Clinic. He has also been a member of the Psychiatry Quality Committee, Restrictive Intervention Committee and Psychiatry Executive Committee at the Alfred Hospital.
Associate Professor Rauchberger is available for consultations and telehealth bookings in relation to independent medical examinations, workplace injuries, transport accidents, public liability matters, total permanent disability and medical negligence claims. Associate Professor Rauchberger is also available for complex case discussion and file review.
Associate Professor Rauchberger is AMA 4 and GEPIC accredited and undertakes a broad range of medicolegal consultations, including negligence, insurance, fitness for duty, and worker’s compensation matters.
