Dr Matthew Gutman is a Neurosurgeon practicing in Victoria, Australia. Matthew’s clinical interests include cranial neurosurgery and spinal surgery. He currently holds appointments through the Alfred, Austin, and Cabrini Hospital, and consults privately.
After completing basic physicians training at Monash University, Dr Gutman embarked on a career in neurosurgery and undertook training through the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (RACS) program. After completing his fellowship in neurosurgery, he undertook further training in flexible endoscopy at the CURE hydrocephalus hospital in Mbale, Uganda, before moving to the United Kingdom to undertake fellowships at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (Queen’s Square) and Cambridge University hospital.
Dr Gutman is able to provide reports in medicolegal cases with emphasis on medical negligence matters.
