Mr Paul D’Urso is an Australian born and educated Neurosurgeon who graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School with Honours in 1988. Mr D’Urso completed 4 years of general surgical training before undertaking PhD research to develop the technology of stereolithographic biomodelling. Mr D’Urso has special interest in minimally invasive neurosurgery and spinal surgery; artificial disc replacement; brain and pituitary tumours; cerebral aneurysms; neuroendoscopy; hydrocephalus; trigeminal neuralgia; arterio-venous malformations; cranial reconstruction; Chiari malformation and neurotrauma.
Mr D’Urso completed advanced neurosurgical training in Australia and New Zealand in 1999 and went on to post-fellowship neurosurgical training at the Cambridge University Academic Neurosurgery Unit in the United Kingdom. Mr D’Urso has published and presented over 110 scientific papers and holds multiple international patents. He has won over 20 prestigious research awards and prizes.
He is an expert in the provision of medicolegal opinion and medical device technology and additive manufacturing.
