Mr Robert Millar is a General Surgeon and is a part of Epworth General Surgery and Gastroenterology Clinical Institute and is accredited at a number of major hospitals throughout Victoria. After qualifying as a general surgeon in 1983, Mr Millar worked in a high volume general surgical department at the Royal Melbourne Hospital until late 2020 and continues to run an active private practice.
Mr Millar undertook training in the UK and the United States, working in breast surgery, endocrine surgery, and transplantation. During his years at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Mr Millar was on the active receiving list carrying out trauma surgery and general acute surgical admissions.
Whilst Mr Millar’s surgical experience is extensive, he prefers to take on cases within his special interest areas of endocrine surgery, transplantation and breast surgery where he has broad knowledge and expertise.
Dr Miller has been actively involved with giving medicolegal opinions on a regular basis for general surgical misadventure or incompetent medical practice over the last twelve years, and as such is able to provide reports in medicolegal cases with emphasis on medical negligence matters.
